Spain: Enrique Valero announced as new managing director of Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine

Abadía Retuerta LeDomaine has appointed Enrique Valero as its new managing director.

Valero has served as the CEO of Abadía Retuerta Winery since 2009. As managing director, he takes on responsibility for both the restored 12th-century abbey hotel and the estate's winery.

Valero said: "With the consolidation of management, an exceptional opportunity has been created to accelerate the synergism between our extraordinary hotel and world-class winery. We will be able to further position our brand as a multi-faceted travel, wine and cultural experience where guests enjoy the finest life has to offer."

Before his tenure as CEO of Abadía Retuerta Winery, he served as CEO of London-based United Wineries International, overseeing international export brands. His other positions include public relations director of Jerez, Spain-based Grupo González Byass, where he oversaw the company's brands including Tío Pepe, Lepanto, Beronia and London Gin, and marketing and communications director of Arco Bodegas Unidas.
