Guatemala: Jennifer Cornwell has returned to Casa Palopó for a second spell as general manager.

Casa Palopó, formerly a private home, is a luxury boutique hotel in the Guatemalan highlands. Newly-appointed GM Cornwell previously served as Casa Palopó's resident manager from 2004 to 2008.

Cornwell will oversee all hotel services and staff development including maintaining guest satisfaction, profitability, and employee morale at Casa Palopó, Guatemala's only Relais & Chateaux property. With experience in event planning, Cornwell will also take on the responsibility of supervising, coordinating and delegating new hotel programming and activities.

Cornwell has formerly worked at the Pelican Eyes Piedras y Olas Resort in Nicaragua, where she made non-profit partnerships a focus of her work. Previously, she was hotel manager at Hotel La Casa del Mundo on Lake Atitlán, where she also collaborated on menu development.

"I am thrilled to rejoin my family at Casa Palopó and work alongside a team of dedicated hospitality professionals. It's no coincidence that my path brought me right back to this beautiful gem of a hotel, and I am looking forward to all the triumphs - and gorgeous Atitlán days - that lie ahead," said Cornwell.
