UK: Aiste Bart and Andrew Taylor, the duo behind London's El Patron restaurant and bar, are planning to open a Tequila-themed hotel on the Isle of Wight.

El Patron Isle of Wight will open in the Grade II listed Charter House in St. Thomas Square, Newport. Featuring a bar, restaurant and hotel, the venue is due to open this summer offering guests "an authentic South American experience".

Each room in the six-bedroom boutique hotel is themed around a different drink from El Patron's tequila menu and has its own signature cocktail.

The restaurant will serve Mexican street food, including spinach and feta quesadillas, slow-cooked pork burritos, fish tacos and traditional chunky salsas, all presented on large sharing plates. There will be live music and DJs in the bar, playing a mix of Latin-inspired tunes.

The venue's interior features exposed brick walls, Latin-inspired artwork, a corrugated iron bar and reclaimed material from former warships create an eclectic setting.
