UK: Hampshire Boutique Hotels has bought the 29-bedroom Red House Hotel in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Leisure property specialists Fleurets brokered the sale of the property, which is situated at the junction of the A303 and A338 to the north of Salisbury, a short distance away from Thruxton Motor racing circuit and Stonehenge.

The hotel has 29 bedrooms, owner's accommodation, a 38-cover restaurant and a conference room which can be configured for 90 delegates in theatre style.

The hotel had been operated as a lifestyle business for a number of years by the previous owners, who have now retired. Hampshire Boutique Hotels, which also owns the G! Boutique Hotel in Southsea, will rebrand and redevelop the property, making use of the extensive grounds to style it as a wedding destination.

Will Thomas of Fleurets said: "The sale of the Red House is a perfect example of the improved market conditions, as at the time of sale there were two other interested parties, who had also submitted offers for the property. I am however delighted we have a now concluded the sale and wish Mr & Mrs Bealing an enjoyable and well earned retirement".

Eli Gray, managing director of G! Boutique Hotels, said: "We fell in love with the place from the moment we saw it - we think that with imagination and creativity we can transform the property and the business, and will be applying the same approach of outstanding service married to cutting-edge design and funky, fun features that have made G! Boutique Hotel such a success in Southsea.  We spent months working with Will Thomas to find the right property, and they really came through for us."
