The company says the appointments come as it enters "an exciting new phase in its history with upcoming property launches in new markets Chiang Mai and Cambodia and the recent debut of its Italics restaurant brand".

Mark Eletr is AHMS's new group general manager. He has extensive operational experience through his years in the hospitality industry, launching his career in food and beverage in Australia at North Queensland's Green Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef. A civil engineer by training, Eletr was formerly GM of the five-star Anantara Rasanda Koh Phangan Villa Resort & Spa, before being promoted to cluster general manager for Anantara in Abu Dhabi, overseeing three luxury resorts for the group on Sir Bani Yas Island.

Thomas Dazard has been appointed corporate finance manager. His career has included a five-year stint at Ernst & Young in Europe and a further three years with French-headquartered global IT group Atos.

Naruedol 'Doi' Ruangsawad has joined AHMS as its chief accountant. His career includes an eight-year spell at Ernst & Young (Thailand).

Finally Pattana 'Bik' Waithayanon is the group's new sales director. She has more than 15 years in sales and marketing in the hospitality industry. Her most recent position was as director of sales at the Swissotel Resort Phuket, following five years as assistant director of sales at Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort, where she was promoted to director of sales in 2013.

"They are four professionals of the highest calibre," said AHMS managing director and founder Anchalika Kijkanakorn. "It's a milestone time for the group and I'm looking forward to their contribution. There's the soon-to-launch five-star akyra Manor Chiang Mai and the launch of the six-star AKARYN Retreat Koh Krabey, Cambodia, as well as the recent debut of our Italics restaurant brand, a contemporary Italian dining experience in Bangkok and coming up at akyra Manor Chiang Mai."
