Shiel takes sales and marketing role at Smyth

US: Smyth, a Thompson Hotel has announced the appointment of Christopher Shiel as director of sales and marketing.

US: Smyth, a Thompson Hotel has announced the appointment of Christopher Shiel as director of sales and marketing.

Shiel brings more than seven years of experience in the hospitality industry to the hotel in NYC's Tribeca neighbourhood. He will be responsible for all sales and marketing efforts of the boutique hotel, which recently unveiled a refurbished lobby space designed by Gachot Studios.
 
"We are pleased to welcome Christopher to our team," said Smyth general manager Pedro Dias. "His extensive knowledge of the industry and the Tribeca neighborhood will prove invaluable as he takes on this leadership role at the hotel."
 
Shiel joins the hotel from Denihan Hospitality Group where he spent the last four years working in sales for Affinia Fifty, Affinia Gardens and The Benjamin in New York.
