UK: Tim Seward, general manager at the Cliff House Hotel in Southbourne, Dorset, has been inducted into the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, as a professional Maitre Hotelier.

Founded in Paris in 1950, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs can trace its origins to 1248 when King Louis IX wished to thank the trades which had contributed to the construction of Sainte Chapelle. Today, the principal goals of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs are to bring together members in more than 80 countries, encourage the development of young chefs and sommeliers through competitions, and provide international food support and aid to those in need.

Seward said: "It is a great honour to become a member of such a prestigious organisation. I am looking forward to working with the society in the future."
