US Magnolia Hotels has added its latest property, Magnolia Hotel St. Louis, to Stash Hotel Rewards.

US Magnolia Hotels has added its latest property, Magnolia Hotel St. Louis, to Stash Hotel Rewards.

Stash is the largest point-based rewards programme for independent hotels across the US. Travellers can now earn and redeem reward points at all five properties in the Magnolia portfolio - including Dallas, Denver, Houston, Omaha, and St. Louis.

"At first we weren't sure, so we just added one property to Stash, our Houston hotel," said Mike Pratt, VP of sales and marketing at Stout Street Hospitality. "Within a couple of months, we saw Stash was a grand slam. Now, every hotel we manage is in the programme. It just works."

Stash says nearly 500 new guests gained from within the Stash network visited Magnolia Hotels over the past year. These new guests - Stash members who signed up for the programme at another Stash partner hotel - brought 1,586 incremental room nights and $269,373 in new guest revenue to Magnolia Hotels.

Magnolia is now working more closely with other Stash partners, like the New Orleans Hotel Collection, to create cross-promotional marketing campaigns to capture more new guests.

"Stash is about more than just providing guests with points," said Jeff Low, founder and CEO of Stash Hotel Rewards. "By coming together with other like-minded, fiercely independent hoteliers, our partners gain additional force to compete against the big chains. Magnolia hotels have seen the value of the Stash network and have successfully used it to their advantage."
