UK: The Exhibitionist Hotel in South Kensington has welcomed its first guests today.

UK: The Exhibitionist Hotel in South Kensington is preparing to welcome its first guests in late November.

Housed in a restored 18th century townhouse that was originally built for officials of the royal family, The Exhibitionist will feature 37 guest rooms, including spa and penthouse suites, an experimental cocktail lounge, and eight art galleries.

Art is a central feature of the hotel, which says its galleries will offer "a blank canvas for up and coming artists to showcase their work in an exclusive London location. Gallery spaces are transformed regularly so visitors will be able to experience something different with each visit."

The hotel takes its name from the adjacent Exhibition Road, home to 18 institutions including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Natural History Museum, and the Royal Albert Hall.

Prices start rom £255 per night.
