US: Louisville-based boutique hotel company 21c Museum Hotels is applying for incentives and looking at financing options for properties in Oklahoma City and Kansas City.

Speaking of the project, and of a forthcoming Kansas City hotel, 21c Museum Hotels president  Craig Greenberg said: "We are still working on finalising all our incentives, our public-private partnership,"

The $47.5 million Kansas City project will include 120 rooms and a 5,800-square-foot restaurant and bar. The company will receive $30.4 million in incentives and financing to redevelop the former Hotel Savoy and Savoy Grill building.

It is seeking similar financing aid for the $51.5 million Oklahoma City project.

21c Museum Hotels opened its first hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2006, and opened properties in Cincinnati and Bentonville, Arkansas, in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Another is under construction in Durham, North Carolina, with a Q1 2015 opening mooted, and work is also due to start soon on a Lexington, Kentucky, property.

All the company's hotels feature galleries displaying constantly changing exhibitions.
