UK: Eclectic Hotels is to develop an office building in Manchester city centre into a 40-bedroom boutique hotel.

The 1874 building at 8-10 Booth Street was formerly the Manchester and Salford Trustees Savings Bank and was designed by president of The Manchester Society of Architects Edward Salomons.

If granted planning permission, Eclectic Hotels will convert the building in to a  40 bedroom hotel with bar, restaurant and conference facilities. The conversion process will take just over a year.

Eclectic Hotels are the operators of Manchester's Great John Street Hotel, 11 Didsbury Park and the Didsbury House Hotel.
