Midtown Manhattan boutique hotel set for November opening
US: The 172-room WestHouse New York is preparing to welcome guests from November 15.
The hotel, at 201 West 55th St. between 7th Ave. and Broadway,
says it has been "designed to satisfy the world's most discerning
guests in an environment reminiscent of a luxurious New York
Townhouse".
Its 172 guest rooms will include 18 suites, including a
1,500-square-foot presidential suite with dual views of Central
Park and Times Square. Each room features Wi-Fi, marble-top desks,
400 thread-count sheets, snacks from Dean & DeLuca, and an
ambient scent specifically created by 12.29 for WestHouse. Terrace
suites will have a private outdoor terrace and be furnished with
Sleep Studio's bedding system.
Jeffrey Beers International conceived the overall Art Deco design
for the 1927 building, which will have a bar, The Den, in the lobby
level, and a 23rd floor restaurant, The Terrace, which has feature
floor-to-ceiling windows.
WestHouse has partnered with concierge firm, Luxury Attache, to
offer an in-house team of "expert lifestyle curators" to create
personal itineraries guests.
General Manager Karla Keskin said the hotel "blends the
exceedingly superb privileges of a private club with the elegant
residential comforts of a refined hotel environment."
