US: Gansevoort Hotel Group has appointed Jean-Francois Tremblay as hotel manager of Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC.

Tremblay will be responsible for all hotel operations, including staff management, recruitment and development, weekly payroll review, training, scheduling, and preparation of annual budgets, amongst other daily operational tasks.

"Being a part of the pre-opening team in 2004 and to now return years later is such an exciting and humbling opportunity. I look forward to continuing my journey with this incredible hotel brand and to great success for Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC for years to come," said Tremblay.

Before joining Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC, Tremblay served as hotel manager for Gansevoort Turks + Caicos where he joined the pre-opening team and led training and development of key management staff. Prior to working with Gansevoort Hotel Group, Tremblay spent four years as a concierge for The Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Waldorf Towers and four years as part of the pre-opening team for The Bryant Park Hotel.

"We are thrilled to have Jean-Francois back at Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC. His passion, leadership and knowledge of the hotel industry and our brand will make him a valuable asset as we reinforce the property as the best of its class," said Michael Achenbaum, President of Gansevoort Hotel Group.
