France: Le Bristol in Paris has announced that its brasserie, Le 114 Fauborg, has gained its first Michelin star, under the guidance of chef Eric Desborde.

The hotel, part of the Oetker Collection, is now the first Parisian Palace Hotel to gain four Michelin stars - its fine dining restaurant Epicure gained its third star in 2009,

The hotel says Dsborde "crafts his cuisine with a passion to produce the very best like his renowned mentor Eric Frechon - Le Bristol's Chef des Cuisines. Along with pastry Chef Laurent Jeannin, they are an exceptional trio making the 114 Faubourg the place to be for those looking for a brasserie de luxe in France's capital."
