Singapore: The Scarlet, widely viewed as Singapore's first boutique hotel has reopened after a five-month renovation.

The makeover has stressed what is described as "the lavish, bold and elegant look signature to The Scarlet". Its 80 guestrooms and suites in particular have seen substantial updates.

The Scarlet's all day bistro and bar, Our Korner, has reopened to guests and non-residents today; while the roof-top bar, Breeze, will open by the end of the month.

The four-storey heritage building along Erskine Road is set in the heart of Singapore's Chinatown neighbourhood. It offers four different room types (Standard, Deluxe, Executive and Premium) and five suites (Passion, Swank, Opulent, Lavish and Splendour).
