revamps website and partners with TripAdvisor

UK: London-based online hotel booking website has relaunched its website and partnered with TripAdvisor to collect post-trip reviews from travellers.

The portal says it has conducted in-depth research into the most effective e-commerce websites and has taken the best elements from other websites both in and beyond the travel sector.

Mark Jones, vice president, sales and marketing, at, said: "Too many hotel portals scream at consumers to sell their product and this can become intimidating for the customer. We choose the route that is simple, fresh and easy to navigate. This engages the customer more effectively as there are no surprises to try and upsell, and a more relaxed environment for the customer results in greater sales. has also partnered with TripAdvisor, and will display its ratings and reviews for hotels on the site, as well as traveller photos for more than 1000 destinations. The partnership will also involve TripAdvisor collecting post-trip reviews via its B2B platform to encourage customers to write reviews following their stays.

Pollyanna Vincent, senior partnerships manager for TripAdvisor said: "We are happy to partner with to display traveller reviews and ratings. This collaboration will enable customers to benefit from previous travellers' experience when making a booking decision and encourage them to share their own experience after their trip."  

The site revamp coincides with the appointment of two marketing specialists at David Garwell joins as search marketing analyst, and has worked across many sectors including fashion retail, cosmetics, software, insurance, legal services, horticulture, energy and the vehicle rental sector.

Kevin Greene joins with a background in online reputation management, having worked for Digitalis Reputation.
