UK: Mr & Mrs Jones in Portstewart has ceased trading, with the loss of 30 jobs.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, the 20-room hotel and winebar, which opened in time for last summer's Irish Open golf tournament at Royal Portrush, closed after the last of it's new year's eve guests checked out.

Andrew Bradley, managing director of Me & Mrs Jones, had leased the building from "controversial local property developer, Norman Menary of NM Developments", said the paper.

A representative from the hotel's lawyers, McDermott, McGurk and Partners Solicitors, said: "The business will continue but at what stage it will reopen again we don't know. That's not in our client's interests."
