SLH signs up first property in Israel

Israel: Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has added the 12-room Efendi hotel in Acre, northern Israel, to its portfolio.

The hotel is a conversion of two 19th century Ottoman palaces, owned by Israel's most famous seafood restaurateur, Uri Jeremias. It has been meticulously restored complete with Byzantine walls and cellars dating back to the 12th century. Features include a spa with a 400-year old hammam or and a rooftop terrace.
