UK: The UK Christian holiday and hotel company has brought Abbot Hall Hotel and Lindors Hotel to market

Two hotels in Gloucestershire and Cumbria have been put up for sale by owners Christian Guild Hotels at a guide price of £1.5m each.

The sale of Abbot Hall Hotel and Lindors Hotel would leave three properties in the Christian Guild portfolio. Abbot Hall Hotel was built in 1840 and is located in Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria. It features 36 bedrooms in the main house, a 14 bedroom bungalow, five lodges with 11 bedrooms and separate owner's accommodation.

Lindors Country House Hotel in Lydney, Gloucestershire features 23 bedrooms, five separate lodges, three conference rooms and the Stowes restaurant.

Tom Cunningham, director of the hotels team at Savills, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed to sell these two historic hotels. Both are located in popular tourist destinations and benefit from a strong business and tourist trade, making them attractive to a range of prospective buyers."

The remaining three hotels that are part of Christian Guild are Treloyhan Manor, St Ives, Cornwall; Sidholme hotel, Sidmouth, Devon; and Willersley Castle, Derbyshire.
