US: Lightspeed’s restaurant EPOS system has received endorsement from tech giant Oracle.

Leading POS company Lightspeed has announced that its restaurant EPOS system will be the first restaurant management software to receive Oracle certification.

Lightspeed uses a two-way interface, allowing hotel restaurants to communicate guest and billing information between the hotel's PMS and the restaurant's POS.

Guests can place a restaurant order anytime and anywhere, billing directly to their hotel room. For hoteliers, all purchases are stored on one system.

David Hicks, vice president, Oracle, said: "Achieving Oracle Validated Integration gives our customers confidence that the integration between Lightspeed Restaurant and Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Services is functionally sound and performs as tested."
