UK: Plans for a £30 million leisure park on Loch Lomond will include a boutique hotel.

Theme park operator Flamingo Land Ltd, which has attractions in North Yorkshire, plans to transform a 20-hectare site, introducing lodges, a boutique hotel, a hostel and glamping pods, a viewing tower and "high-quality family-based attractions and restaurants".

The proposals for the development, which were announced in September 2016, are set be on display to the public in October following the Pre-Application Notice (PAN). The plans are set to be submitted for planning permission later this year.

There has been considerable local opposition to the scheme, with a petition against it attracting more than 32,000 signatures.
