One Devonshire Gardens announces new head chef
UK: One Devonshire Gardens by Hotel du Vin has appointed Gary Townsend as head chef
Gary Townsend has been appointed as the new head chef of One
Devonshire Gardens by
Hotel du Vin in Glasgow.
Townsend replaces Paul Tamburrini who previously headed the
kitchen of the hotel's three-AA-rosette restaurant as executive
chef for five years. Tamburrini has now opened his own restaurant,
Bistro Deluxe by Paul Tamburrini at the Macdonald Holyrood hotel in
Edinburgh.
Townsend joins the the four-AA-star One Devonshire Gardens from
his previous position as head chef of Cameron House on Loch Lomond.
In the past he has worked as sous chef at Restaurant Martin Wishart
in Edinburgh. He has also enjoyed stints at Tuddenham Mill,
L'Enclume, Restaurant Sat Bains and Hibiscus.
Townsend said: "One Devonshire Gardens has an incredible
reputation built over a number of years and I look forward to
joining them on this next stage of the hotel's development. I am
passionate about classical cooking and am always looking at new
techniques, developing new flavours and ideas."
One Devonshire Gardens is one of seventeen Hotel du Vin properties
across the UK.
