US: The Fontaine in Kansas City has made two additions to its executive team

The Fontaine, Kansas City has announced the appointments of Richard Graham as general manager and Kevin Nicholls as executive chef.

Graham will oversee the design renovation of the 132-room boutique hotel, whilst Nicholls is set to launch Parker, the new restaurant at The Fontaine.

Graham has over a decade of boutique hotel experience. Most recently, Graham served as director of hotel operations at Kansas City's Ameristar Hotel & Casino where he was responsible for hotel operations. He spent the decade prior at Hilton President Kansas City where he held various executive leadership roles.

Graham said: "The very essence of Kansas City runs through my veins, and I am honored to share my passion for our majestic City of Fountains with guests. Kansas City is an exciting place to be right now, and The Fontaine connects guests to the best of it all, from hip neighborhoods, arts & culture and stylish boutiques to our city's spirited cocktail scene and diverse restaurants."

Nicholls has gained experience in kitchens around the world. As junior sous chef at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Nicholls' eyes were opened to new cultures and the flavors of Indian cuisine, which helped shape his distinct culinary style. He has served as executive chef of several restaurants in Greater Kansas City, where he forged close relationships with local artisans farmers.

Nicholls said: "Parker will be Kansas City's newest social dining experience, and I'm excited to invite guests to pull up a seat, share a meal, have a drink and stay awhile. I believe in letting simplicity shine by concentrating on the execution and the natural flavors of every component in each dish. My menu tells the story of my journey as a chef through layered flavors, quality local sourced ingredients, and plates for sharing."
