UK: YTL Hotels’ newest UK property sets opening date

Monkey Island Estate will open in the historic village of Bray-on-Thames, Berkshire in Spring 2018.

The property has a long history that goes back to medieval times. It features early 18th century fishing retreats built by the Duke of Marlborough that house famous monkey artworks. For 180 years it has provided some of Britain's most unique hospitality.

The hotel is YTL Hotels' newest UK property. YTL has renovated the property. A striking white bricked Pavilion and Temple buildings will now make up the main hotel areas of YTL's Monkey Island Estate, surrounded by picturesque views of the River Thames and beautifully manicured gardens.

The Estate will consist of 27 bedrooms and three deluxe suites, all designed by the award-winning New York-based Champalimaud Design, who orchestrated design projects for YTL's first British property, The Gainsborough Bath Spa. Furnishings will feature timeless glamour alongside traditional features with a relaxed countryside style.

YTL owns and manages a prestigious collection of award-winning resorts, hotels, boutique experiences and Spa Villages worldwide.
