UK: Pride of Britain Hotels announces new property

Pride of Britain Hotels has announced that Sopwell House has joined its luxury collection of independently-owned UK hotels.

Sopwell is situated in 12 acres of grounds close to St Albans, Hertfordshire. The grand Georgian house is the former country residence of Lord Mountbatten. The house has been in the Bejerano family for 30 years.

The hotel's 128 bedrooms and suites include sixteen gated Mews Suites set in a landscaped garden. The property's interior design is a combination of vintage French fashion and fine art animal giclée prints by artist Dan Hillier.

The hotel's dining choices include two AA-Rosette The Restaurant, which serves seasonal British and European dishes, and The Brasserie - a relaxed open-plan kitchen, offering classic dishes alongside daily specials inspired by international cuisines.

Sop well also offers a spa set around a relaxing pool area with a 14.5m pool, whirlpool and children's pool. The spa is partnered with ESPA and Clarins.
