UK: Ynyshir becomes first restaurant in Wales to win five AA Rosettes
Ynyshir, a Michelin-starred restaurant and rooms in Wales, has been awarded five AA Rosettes.
It is the first restaurant in Wales to be awarded that accolade and one of three restaurants UK-wide to reach that standard. Five rosettes are awarded to restaurants which the AA describes as “the finest” in the UK where cooking “stands comparison with the best in the world”.
Chef Patron, Gareth Ward and his team use locally-sourced ingredients and carefully-honed techniques to make tasting menus full of flavour, in what Ward describes as “Alternative British Snap.”
Ynyshir was also awarded the AA Wine Award for Wales 2017-18.
