Ukraine: 11 Mirrors, the first member of Design Hotels in Eastern Europe and the CIS countries, celebrated its grand opening this week.

The 49-room independent hotel is located in the heart of old Kiev on Bohdana Khmelnytskogo Street, close to the National Opera House.

Christian Malcher, Design Hotels global director of sales and marketing, said: "We are proud to welcome 11 Mirrors as Design Hotels' first member in Ukraine. It's a rich addition to our portfolio, both geographically and conceptually, that reflects the many facets of modern Kiev."

Developed and managed by DEOL Partners, the hotel says its concept has been inspired by WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO & The Ring heavyweight champion boxer Wladimir Klitschko.

Klitschko said: "I spend a significant amount of time in my life travelling. Hotels are an important part of my lifestyle, my comfort and my mood. A team of talented Ukrainian and international professionals understood my experience and expectations as a demanding traveller. We talked extensively. They took my advice while creating the whole concept in every detail. I was heard and clearly understood - that is why 11 Mirrors is the most stylish and inspiring design hotel for me."
